Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade

Engineered Cold Chain Protection for Temperature- Sensitive Products

Gel Ice Pac for Transport of Perishables

Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade is a water-based, non-toxic gel refrigerant sealed within a high-
strength 2 ply PE / Nylon laminated bag, designed for the transport of temperature-sensitive
pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology, and food products.

The laminated construction provides enhanced durability, improved sealing integrity, and
reliable thermal performance for reusable cold chain applications where consistent
temperature control is required.

Key Features

Reliable cold chain performance for temperature-sensitive products
High-strength 2 ply PE / Nylon laminated construction
Designed for repeated use under normal operating conditions
Economical and cost-effective alternative to wet ice and dry ice
Maintains product temperature stability during transport
Designed for close-contact (“snug fit”) cooling performance
Non-toxic water-based gel refrigerant
Helps reduce moisture leakage associated with traditional ice
Suitable for pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology, and food applications
Long shelf life
Manufactured for commercial cold chain logistics
Customisable sizing available within tooling parameters

Instructions for Use

Lay flat in a freezer at -15°C to -20°C until completely frozen before use.

For commercial transport of pharmaceutical, medical, food, or other temperature-sensitive
products, place frozen Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade above products where possible, as cold air
naturally falls.

For optimum performance, minimise empty air spaces within the insulated container and
position additional gel packs along the base and sides of the shipper.

Performance will vary depending on pack-out configuration, insulation type, ambient
temperature, and transit duration. We recommend conducting shipping validation trials for
optimal results.

Product Specifications

Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade is manufactured in fixed tooling widths with custom lengths
available within production constraints.

Minimum lengths apply depending on application and volume requirements to ensure proper
sealing integrity and thermal efficiency.

Standard Tooling Widths & Recommended Sizes

130 mm width tooling

  • 130 x 200 mm | 300 g
  • Carton: 75 units | Pallet: 3000 units

150 mm width tooling

  • 150 x 220 mm | 500 g
  • Carton: 45 units | Pallet: 1800 units

190 mm width tooling

  • 190 x 260 mm | 800 g
  • Carton: 28 units | Pallet: 1344 units

200 mm width tooling

  • 200 x 280 mm | 1 kg
  • Carton: 22 units | Pallet: 1056 units

Custom Manufacturing Options

Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade can be manufactured in custom lengths within existing tooling
widths (130 mm, 150 mm, 190 mm, and 200 mm).

As the bags are produced from tubular film, length can be adjusted to suit specific product
volumes; however, minimum length requirements apply to ensure sealing integrity, gel
volume stability, and thermal performance.

Custom specifications are available for OEM and contract manufacturing applications. Please
contact us to discuss requirements.

Product Life

Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade is designed for repeated use under normal cold chain operating
conditions.

Product lifespan will depend on handling practices, freezing cycles, packaging configuration,
and transport conditions.

With proper use, Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade provides a reliable and economical reusable
solution for temperature-controlled logistics.

Technical Notes

  • Non-coloured product range (natural material only)
  • Manufactured using 2 ply PE / Nylon laminated film
  • Designed for industrial cold chain applications
  • Suitable for pharmaceutical and food logistics validation processes

Disposal

If leakage occurs, flush affected area with water and dispose of outer bag in accordance with
local waste regulations.

Application Note

Gel Ice Pac Premium Grade provides a close-contact fit to improve thermal efficiency and
help maintain stable product temperatures throughout transit.
